A 17-year-old has been charged in a bomb threat that was made at Latta High School school on October 5th.
According to the Dillon County Detention Center, Jamel Alphonso Rogers, age 17, 433 West Canal Road, Latta, was charged with making a bomb threat.
According to a report by Deputy Robert Lee Porter, he received a call from the office that they had received a call that stated that there was a bomb in the school.
The principal evacuated the building, and a search was conducted led by First Sgt. Reggie Thompson of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
After investigation, Rogers was arrested.
