Services for Ruth McLellan Turner will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday at Sardis Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Cooper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Turner, 96, died Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Pines Nursing Home.
Born in Dillon County, October 14, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Peter Dave McLellan and Dora Daniels McLellan. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. She was the widow of the late Paul Turner.
Survivors include her sons, Jimmy (Linda) Turner of Latta and Freddie M. Turner of West Columbia; granddaughters, Stephaine Philpot, Jennifer Lane, and Natalie Arnette; 6 great-grandchildren.
