The Latta Early Childhood Center will be a 74,800 sq. ft. facility that will serve grades Pre-K through second grade.
The school will be located near the Latta High School football field. The school will include typical core functions such as administration, guidance, cafeteria, media center, multi-purpose, music, art, general purpose classrooms and special needs.
At the last Dillon County Board of Education meeting, the board was informed by Rodney Alexander of Cumming SMG that the site work at the retention ponds was 85 percent complete; the building pad was complete; the stormwater system was 35 percent complete; and the foundation installation was ongoing.
