An armed robbery occurred at a local convenience store on March 27th, according to an incident report from the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
The report says that Deputies Ken Rogers and Chaddie Hayes were sent to Roger’s Convenience in Hamer on an armed robbery call.
The cashier told deputies that she was at the register when two males with their faces covered by bandannas and wearing dark sunglasses and hoods entered the store, pointed their guns at her, and told her to fill up a bag with the money from the register, the report states. While she was putting the money in the bag, one of the suspects fired his gun, and it struck the wall behind the register. Once the bag was filled, one of the suspects checked to make sure that the cash register was empty. The pair then fled the store.
Detective Allan Rogers is investigating the case. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office at 774-1432.
