A man wanted in North Carolina was apprehended in Dillon County after a chase with law enforcement last Thursday.
According to Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement received a call from Laurinburg, North Carolina stating that they had information that a man wanted for a felony there may be in Dillon County.
Theman was located, a chase ensued, and the man was apprehended on Hwy. 501 outside of Latta. Arnette identified the man as James Matthew Oxendine of North Carolina.
The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, the City of Dillon Police Department, and the Latta Police Department participated in the apprehension.
