Mount Calvary Baptist Church celebrated the 137th Homecoming on Sunday, November 12, at 10:30 a.m.
Pastor Harold Cooke welcomed everyone and offered a prayer.
After the tithes and offerings, The Mount Calvary Quartet consisting of Gene Tanner, Debbie Hill, Bobbie Lee, and Gene Hill, sang “Mention My Name” followed by the congregation led by Music Director Gene Tanner sang “Lord I Lift Your Name On High” accompanied by Dustin Mew on the guitar and Angie Tanner on the piano.
Jimmy Tanner sang a solo, “I Believe,” followed by the congregation’s “Mighty To Save”.
Ashlyn Barber sang a solo entitled “In Jesus Name.”
Rev. Joe Smith, former Mount Calvary pastor from 1995-1998 delivered the message.
An invitation was given followed by the Postlude.
A prayer was offered and everyone was invited to enjoy the Homecoming Meal and fellowship at the Mount Calvary Family Life Center.
Mount Calvary Baptist Church is located at 405 Mount Calvary Road, Dillon.
