The Lake View Elementary School Veterans Day Program “Honoring Those Who Served,” was held on Friday, November 11, at 9:30 a.m. that honored all of our veterans who have served.
Laura Britt was in charge of the service. She and her staff had prepared well for the event as the patriotic service went smoothly throughout from the beginning with the “Welcome to the Service” by Peyton Ford to the closing of the service.
The procession of the flag was by Joy Benjamin, the Lake View High School bank with drummer Ammiel Rowland.
The Pledge of Allegiance was by 4K followed by the “Star Spangled Banner” by the Lake View Elementary students.
The purpose of the concert was by Lilly Hatcher, Emman Hayes, Jordan Buchanan, Maison Hamilton, and Jackson Pittman.
The placing of the wreath was by Maison Hamilton and Jackson Pittman.
“In Flanders Fields” was read by Paisley Alford.
The renaming Armistice Day was by Abel Collins.
The 5K was by Kyleigh Rogers.
The first grade honored the Air Force with Mackenzie Hayes introducing them prior to their song. The second grade honored the Army with Peyton Ford introducing them prior to their song. The fourth grade honored the Navy with Emma Hayes introducing them prior to their song. The third grade honored the Coast Guard with Lilly Hatcher introducing them prior to their song. The fifth grade honored the Marines with Jordan Buchanan introducing them prior to their song. Abel Collins introduced “God Bless the USA”. Kyleigh Rogers had the Veterans recognition.
The Memorial recognition was by Mackenzie Hayes.
The closing was by Peyton Ford.
