Candidate filing for office begins at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, March 16th.
Offices that are open for filing include Dillon County Council District Five (currently held by Harold Moody); Dillon County Council District Six (currently held by Gerome “Gee” McLeod); Dillon County Council District Seven (currently held by Stevie Grice); Probate Judge (currently held by Teresa Campbell-Smith); Auditor (currently held by Kay McKenzie); and County Treasurer (currently held by Jamie Estes). These offices file at the Dillon County Board of Voter Registration and Elections.
State House Of Representatives (District 55 is currently held by Rep. Jackie Hayes) is also open for filing. Filing for this office is at the State Election Commission or at the County Board of Voter Registration and Elections in the candidate’s county of residence.
Other offices include Governor, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Attorney General, Comptroller General, State Superintendent of Education, Commissioner of Agriculture, U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives (all districts) and Solicitor (Circuits 3, 5, 6, 12, 13, 15). Filing for these offices are at the State Election Commission in Columbia.
Filing closes at noon on March 30th.
