Dillon varsity girls head basketball coach, James McMillian began his 17th season coaching girls basketball in November. He spent 12 seasons at Cheraw High School and the last 5 seasons as the Dillon High School Varsity Girls Coach.
McMillian is originally from St. Paul’s, North Carolina, where he graduated in 1991. He began his teaching and coaching career in 2004 at Cheraw High.
He won two region championships while at Cheraw.
Since coming to Dillon in 2016 he has won or tied for first place in the Region every year except last year. In 2018-2019 Dillon played for the lower state championship. The last two seasons have been rebuilding ones for Dillon. However, Coach McMillian expects a return to status quo, even with this year’s young team. Support these young players.
