The Open Door Community Church held Vacation Bible School, Knights of North Castle, from July 25 through July 28.
The Vacation Bible School leader, Barbara Ford, and all of her helpers enjoyed teaching and learning as did the children.
Everyone had a great time from start to finish as they learned about our Lord Jesus Christ. Not only did the children and adults have a great time learning about God’s salvation, they also enjoyed food, games, fellowship, and so much more.
The water slide was also enjoyed by all.
The Knights of North Castle is hidden in a frozen land. The King’s valiant Knights were on a quest in search of the King’s Armor. But the armor isn’t what they think it is. This story invites children to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of God’s power by exploring how we put on the armor of God. Each day the kids began their quest each session by opening the Old and New Testament stories and discovered different pieces of protective armor—the Belt of Truth, the Breastplate of Justice, the Shoes of Peace, the Shield of Faith, and the Helmet of Salvation—at work in the lives of familiar Bible characters, and explore how that armor works in their own lives as they follow and serve God.
The kids took up the gauntlet during this Vacation Bible School and accepted the challenge to “armor up” and be strong by remaining with God and sharing God’s love in a world that needs it more than ever.
The Lord blessed this Vacation Bible School with 13 salvations…and that’s what it is all about…winning souls to Christ.
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
