Mount Calvary Baptist Church completed an exciting week of VBS “Rocky Railway” July 11-15. The theme for the week was “Trust Jesus”
The enrollment was 204 with an average attendance of 148. There were 4 salvations. The total offering was $350.00.
Each day the children learned that Jesus’ power pulls us through all kinds of circumstances in our lives. His power helps us do hard things, gives us hope, helps us be bold, lets us live forever, and helps us be good friends. During the opening assembly, Mount Calvary’s children’s choir performed songs on stage that were learned by all the children when they visited Sing and Play Music and Memory. Other sites were Imagination Station, Bible Adventures, Loco Motion Games, and KidVid Cinema.
The preschool children enjoyed their own Little Kids Depot.
Each night, all the children were given a ride on the Rocky Railway train around the parking lot. Mission offering for the week was a competition between two of the skit characters. Cam Track lost and was whipped creamed on the last night. The mission offering will be given to Falcon Children’s Home in memory of the late Mrs. Tiny Hayes from Lake View. Thanks to all who participated.
