DILLON – Betty Ruth Brigman, 85, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021, at McLeod Medical Center Dillon.
A graveside service to celebrate her life was held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2021, at Greenlawn Cemetery with Pastor Charles Grant officiating.
The family received relatives and friends following the service. Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon is assisting the family.
Betty Ruth Brigman was born in McColl, SC, on March 1, 1936, the daughter of the late Bruce and Ethel Warrick Brigman. Soon after her birth her family moved to Dillon, SC where she would remain for the rest of her life. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her loving family. Betty worked as a waitress and retired at the age of seventy-five.
Her faith in God was expressed through her membership at Cornerstone Full Gospel Holiness Church.
Betty leaves to cherish her memories children, Cary McKenzie of Gastonia, NC, Carl Bailey (Cindy) of Dillon, and Lisa Yarborough (Thomas) of Dillon; grandchildren, Cary Thomas, Christopher Hinson and Nicholas Coward; brother, Larry Brigman (Ann) of Dillon; and sister, Shirley Coley (Stewart) of Gastonia, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings.
