The SC Technical College System’s readySC™ program has promoted Marianne Borders to Area Project Manager working as the System’s primary economic development contact for York, Chester, Lancaster, Chesterfield, Marlboro and Dillon counties.

Prior to this role, Borders served as project coordinator with readySC™ working with companies relocating to or expanding in South Carolina by developing customized curriculum, delivering training and running multiple start-up and expansion projects across the state.

“Marianne brings a great deal of experience in economic development and workforce training to her new role,” said Ann Marie Stieritz, vice president of Economic Development and Workforce Competitiveness for the System. “She has been a wonderful asset to readySC™ and we look forward to Marianne bringing her tremendous experience to this important role in the organization.”

Borders graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics. She has 17 years experience in workforce and economic development training including the development of an extensive range of curriculum involving soft skills as well as technical skills.
