A 22-year-old woman was killed in a fatal crash on March 7 on S.C. Highway 9 at 6:40 a.m., according to Master Trooper Brian Lee of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
The driver of the 2012 Nissan Maxima ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected, went off the right side of the road, overturned, and struck a utility pole.
The driver was wearing a seatbelt. The passenger was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle and died on the scene.
Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified the victim as Adina Doctor, a 22-year-old black female of St. Pauls, NC. She died of injuries from a motor vehicle accident.
The driver was transported to a local hospital, and Lee said the driver will be charged with driving under suspension and driving to fast for conditions.
