On Tuesday, November 23rd, the members of Mount Calvary Baptist Church gathered to celebrate Thanksgiving. Each family brought dishes of food which were shared by all. A brief message from Matthew 8 was shared. In the story, Jesus saved a man who had no hope by healing him physically and cleansing his sin. Christians are thankful for Jesus, who freely forgives all who come to him by faith. Because He paid the price for sin on the cross and then rose again, he is able to impart eternal life to all who call on him. “Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!”-2 Cor. 9:15. [slide]
