Emma Jean Scott, 80, died Friday, January 24, 2020 at McLeod Medical Center-Dillon.
Memorial services were held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 2nd at Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation was 1-2 p.m. prior to service at the funeral home.
Born in Dillon County, April 9, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Haston Caulder and Rommie Cook Caulder. She was the widow of the late Dallas Jake Scott, and she attended Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Laverne Scott (Mary) of Dillon, Millard Scott of Florence, Perry Scott of Latta, and Thurmond Scott of Nichols; brother, John David “Pee Wee” Caulder (Kay) of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Shelby Jean Poston of Latta; sisters, Annie Faircloth of Oak Grove, and Marie Lovette of Fork; 20 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Frank Scott and Jimmy Lee Scott; grandsons, Michael Scott and Jimmy Lee Scott, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Layla Rose Scott; sisters, Florence Sweat, Fronnie Cook, Sally Gal Hatley, and Diane “Cent” Herring; brothers, Olin “Newt” Caulder, William “Smoke” Caulder, Jack Caulder, Laverne “Dick” Caulder, and Larry “Lassie” Caulder.
