[slide] A Veterans Day ceremony was held at the Dillon City-County complex earlier this morning (Thursday). The guest speaker was the Rev. Stephen Vipperman. The Veteran of the Year for 2010 was named. The Veteran of the Year is Robert “Bob” Snyder. Also during the ceremony, a special performance was given by Larry Williams and the Christian Jubilees and the George F. Spradley Scholarship was presented to Marian Anderson of Latta High School. The ceremony capped off a “Veterans Week” of activities which began with a special tribute at the Dillon County Theatre this past Saturday and continued throughout the week with various functions at schools and churches throughout the county.
