Dorthy M. Lane passed away May 22, 2019 at Florence McLeod hospital due to a long illness. She was the mother of Donna Michelle Lane and Debbie Lane Edmund. The funeral arrangements will be made at Cooper funeral home and announced at a later date.

NEWTON, NC – Michael Timothy “Timbo” Howard, 47, died Monday, May 20, 2019, at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, North Carolina. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 24, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel in Dillon with Dr. Christopher H. Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 23, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon. The family will be receiving friends at other times at his brother’s residence, 2487 Princess Ann Road, Orrum, NC.
