Mount Calvary Baptist Church held the monthly meeting for Brotherhood, WMU, and BYU on Monday, February 4, at 7:00 p.m. at the Family Life Center.
After a delicious meal with all the trimmings and wonderful desserts and fellowship, everyone dispersed to the respective meeting places.
Branford “Eddie” Townsend was the guest speaker for Brotherhood.
After becoming a Christian, Townsend began in the New Testament and then to the Old Testament for the history.
His topic was from Mark 4:1-20. Jesus was speaking of parable of the seed sowers.
The ones that fell by the wayside are the unresponsive to the Word. Some will not be saved because they do not hear the Word. Some fell on stony ground and are referred to as impulsive. Some fell among the thorns and are referred to as occupied people. Some fell on good ground.
Townsend was well received by all for his inspirational message.
If you do not have a church of your own, Rev. Harold Cooke and the entire congregation invite you to attend and receive a blessing. Join us on Monday, March 4, at 7:00 p.m. for a delicious meal, fellowship, and the Word.
Mount Calvary Baptist Church is located at 405 Mount Calvary Road, Dillon
