The Latta Lady Vikings handed visiting Andrews a 64-49 loss on Tuesday, January 22.
Andrews held a slim 9-7 lead after the first period of play. At halftime Andrews was up by 3 points, 20-17. After 3 periods of play Latta was up by 7 points, 39-32.
Latta’s Moya McDuffie led all scorers with 33 points. She connected for five 3-point baskets, six 2-point baskets, and 6 free throws. Ri’Ana Green scored 13 points for the Lady Vikings.
DeKhasia Gordon sank four 2-point baskets for 8 points. Adaya Gordon added 4 points wile Rayne Nolan and Kadaisha Wheeler each placed 3 points on the scoreboard.
Andrews’ Camie Sampson connected for 15 points while Tylin Gray added 13 to the scoreboard. K. McClary had 12 points. Dayzoni Hill connected for 4 points, and Faith Calloway had 3 points in the game. Latta committed 3 fouls in the first half and 10 fouls in the second half while Andrews committed 6 fouls in the first half and 9 fouls in the second half.
