Esther Davis Moody, 90, died Saturday, December 29, 2018 at her residence.
Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Brownsville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Born in Dillon County, SC, September 4, 1928, she was the daughter of the late James Monroe Davis, Sr. and Martha Young Davis.
Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Katherine Allison Conaway, Martha Deloris Allison, and Dovie Lee Freeman, all of Savannah, GA; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Moody was preceded in death by her husbands, Ethrem Floyd Allison and Melvin Hoyt Moody; sisters, Betty Davis Cook Eliza Catherine Davis Geralds, Lillie Mae Davis Lovette, Dovie Davis Dierkx, and Ruth Long; brothers, James Monroe “Bill” Davis, Jr., Lewis Edmond Davis, and Frank Norman Davis; and nephews, John Driggers, and Alton Blackmon.
