Allene Harrelson, 86, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010, in the Heritage Home of Florence. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 8, 2010, in Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the mausoleum, and other times at the home of Frances Turner, 1427 Fairfax Road, Florence. She was born in Dillon County, SC, a daughter of the late John Gurney and Leona Bruce Arnette Har-relson. She earned her nursing degree from Southeastern General Nursing School in Lumberton, NC, and was a labor and delivery nurse for 36 years, including a number of years at St. Eugene Hospital. Miss Harrelson was a member of First Baptist Church in Florence. Survivors include her sister, Frances H. Turner of Florence; nieces and nephews, Jo Ellen (Gene) Sellers of Little River, SC, Johnsie Tyler of California, Robert E. (Faye) Butler of Carthage, NC, Rodney (Terrie) Turner, Alan (Kim) Turner, and Lynda (David) Grant, all of Florence, and Donna (Neil) Griffin of Summer-ville, SC; great-nieces and -nephews, Erica Turner, Audra Turner, Blaire Grant, Kendall Grant, Lauren Griffin, Emily Griffin, John Turner, Ryan Turner, Katherine Turner, Steve Butler, Mark Butler, Margaret Butler, Robert Tyler, D’Evelyn Moran and Donna Heavner.
