Guy Levern Lane, 69, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, May 2, 2018.
Memorial services were held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation was held 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Born in Dillon County, SC, August 17, 1948, he was the son of the late Douglas Walker Lane and Ruth Phillips Lane. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran, and was the retired Owner of Guy’s Body Shop. Guy was an avid drag racing enthusiast having won multiple national championship titles with the IHRA.
Survivors include his daughters, Tabbie Lane Bowen of Dillon, Mysi Lane Willoughby (Clark) of Nichols, Sara Lane Owens (Bryan) of Dillon, and Allison Lane Hogge (Dustin) of Florence; son, Bryant Sawyer of Conway, SC; grandchildren, Steele Willoughby, Nathan Lane, Jalyn Scott, Grayson Willoughby, and Mollie Bowen; brother, Freddie (Pam) Lane; sister, Diane (Dennis) Hyatt; life long friend, Jack Gaddy; and several nieces and nephews.
Guy was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers and sisters, Ralph Lane, Miriam Harrelson, JoAnn Carter, Barbara Alford, Walker Jean Lane, Patsy Ruth Lane, Douglas Walker Lane, Jr., and Charles Griffin Lane.
