The Latta Community Singers will present their spring concerts at the Latta United Methodist Church on May 18 at 7 p.m. and also May 20 at 3 p.m.
The concert theme is “Heaven” and will include the following sacred and secular selections: Saints Bound for Heaven, Steal Away, If I Got My Ticket, Can I Ride with soloist Frank Easterling, Listen to the Lambs with cellist Colin Agnew, Give me Jesus, Lord I Know I Been Changed, People Get Ready, I’ll Build a Stairway to Paradise with soloist Gerald Berry, My Special Angel with soloist Drew Foil, Too Much Heaven with soloist Evelyn Williams, Johnny Angel with soloist Joy Nason, Tears in Heaven and Turn, Turn, Turn both with guitarist Frank Easterling.
Members of the group include Anita McMillan, Elaine Owens, Joy Nason, Jan Foil, Lillianna Grice, Jerri Turbeville, Krista Abbott, Gail Crutchfield, Terry McColl, Gail Carter, Denise Ard, Evelyn Williams, Mary Lou Power, Ben Atkins, Jimmy Ard, Percy Brigman, Drew Foil, Rocky Meekins, Al Agnew, LaFon LeGette, Frank Easterling, Bob Crutchfield, Corky Lane, Gerald Berry, Abbott Shelley, and Rob Lesser. Susan Johnson is the accompanist and Cindy LeGette is the director.
