Pastor Adrienne Anderson conducted the dedication of windows and storage building at Fork Presbyterian Church on Sunday, January 14, at the 11:00 a.m. service.
The prelude to the service was presented by Daphne Hayes and was followed by the Adult Choir who sang “Do Lord” for the choral call to worship.
The Affirmation of Faith was by the entire congregation who then sang a hymn of praise, “To God Be The Glory”.
Rev. Anderson scripture lesson for the service was Psalm 100.
Elaine McLean blessed those present with a solo, “You Are My Glory” that was well received by all.
The congregation then sang the offertory hymn, “O How I Love Jesus” followed by the offertory prayer by Rev. Anderson.
The offertory was by Daphne Hayes.
The Doxology was by the congregation.
The Anthem, “Church In The Wildwood”, was performed by the Adult Choir.
The special guest speaker, Abigail Mann, was introduced by the pastor who informed everyone that Mrs. Mann was her sister-in-law who was from Wilmington, N.C. Mrs. Mann and her husband, Lynn, have three children.
Mrs. Mann informed everyone of the wonderful accomplishments made by the church recently such as the renovation of the kitchen and fellowship hall, new chairs for classrooms and for the choir, the cleaning of three rooms that will now be used as two classrooms and a choir room, and now the dedication of 24 new efficient windows that were installed by Willie Cruz and a nice storage building. All of the renovations have made it easier to serve the Lord.
Rev. Anderson informed everyone that the church was having a dedication of the new windows to show God that the church loved Him and that the church may see the Lord more clearly and that the Lord’s reflection would come through the windows.
Twenty-four yellow roses were next to the podium to represent the twenty-four new windows.
Chairman of the Deacons, Sandra Perritte; and Chairman of the Elders, Bobby Perritte; placed a plaque that recognized the sponsors of the new windows.
Bobby Perritte had the prayer of dedication. The congregation sang “Surely The Presence Of The Lord Is In This Place”.
The benediction and blessing for the meal was by James David Lane.
The Postlude was by Daphne Hayes.
