The Dillon Historic School Foundation (DHSF) held its first meeting of the new year with new officers installed.
Newly elected officers elected for 2018 are Lorene Bridgers Arnette, Chairperson and Abbott Shelley, Vice-Chair. Continuing duties as Secretary and Treasurer are Mary Miller and Barbara Herring, respectively.
The group addressed continuing goals of restoration and renovation of the West Elementary and the J. V. Martin Auditorium.
Additional discussion focused on fund raising and available grants for the needed repairs.
At adjournment, members were reminded that it is time for membership dues to be paid.
The next meeting will be held on February 6th, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Dillon Chamber of Commerce Conference room. The Chamber offices are located on the corner of MacArthur Avenue and Main Street. Visitors and new members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
