LATTA – Emma Jean Lee, 73, died Sunday, June 11, 2017 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at 3:00 P.M. at Latta Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Rob Pierce and Pastor Carroll Stephens. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. in the church fellowship hall. Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta, SC is assisting the family.
Ms. Lee was born June 15, 1943 in Mullins Hospital, Marion County, SC, the daughter of the late Robert E. Lee, Jr. and Mary Louise Johnson Lee. She retired as a paralegal from Dillon Legal Services. Jean was a member of Latta Baptist Church and the Harriet Dew Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Bob Lee (Diane) of Newberry, SC, Vicki Lee Simerly (Paul) of Hamer, SC, Tommy Lee (Sue) of Latta, SC, Debbie Collins (Cecil) of Florence, SC, Keith Lee of Atlanta, GA, Steve Lee (Wanda) of Williamsburg, VA, Lloyd Johnson (Collette) of Little River, SC, Wanda J. Berry (Bill) of Latta, SC, Allen Johnson (Amy) of Tullahoma, TN, Wendy Lee Yates (Kenny) of Turbeville, TN, Jeff Lee (Judy) of Florence, SC, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her brothers, R. M. Lee, Vondell Lee, and Sonny Lee; sister, Mildred L. Johnson; mother, Louise Johnson Lee, father, Robert E. Lee, Jr., and one niece, Cathy L. Arnette.
