It was an evening of fellowship, food, and fun at the Third Annual Sportsman Day at Dillon Pentecostal Holiness Church, 511 Highway 301 South, Dillon, on Thursday, April 7th.
Pastor Myrt Johnson recognized Pentecostal Holiness Church District Elder Rabon Stewart and wife, Jewel; Pastor Jerry Wilkes and wife, Sue, of Mullins Pentecostal Holiness Church; Rev. Sam Johnson and wife, Sarah; Rev. Billy Brumbles of Mullins Pentecostal Holiness Church; and others.
Pastor Johnson thanked the kitchen staff which included Russell and Diane Hyatt, Ray and Jamie Gray, Sister Faye Davis, and others.  He recognized the greeters, Courtney and Kassie Gray, and Dr. John Odom and wife, Renee, of McLeod Family Medicine Mullins.
Also recognized were Jimmy and Rita Peacock, Ricky and Brenda Talbert, and the guest speaker, Rev. James Smith, of East Dillon Baptist Church.
Rev. Smith delivered an inspirational message.
Those in attendance enjoyed fish stew and deer stew with the fixings.
There was a display by Lane’s Bait and Tackle of some of the latest fishing and hunting gear.  Jimmy Peacock had an exhibit of some of the largest deer mounts ever taken in Dillon County.  David Johnson provided a coastal skiff for display.  There were other exhibits as well.
Door prizes were given away at the end of the meeting.
