Mrs. Florence Manning Bethea celebrated her one hundredth birthday with a drop–in on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at the Abingdon Manor Inn in Latta with family and friends in attendance. The Abingdon Manor Inn was the home of her grandfather, James Haselden Manning and her father’s childhood home.
Mrs. Bethea is the daughter of L. A. Manning, Jr. and Minnie Holland Manning. In attendance was her son, Charlie Bethea (Janice) of Darlington and two grandchildren, Ellen and Ben (Tamela), and two great-grandchildren, Kate and Sophia of Hartsville; granddaughter, Gretchen S. Allen (Steven) and two great-grandchildren, William and Thomas of Latta; grandson, Robert W. Squires, Jr. and two great-grandchildren, Ibrahim and Maryam of Windermere, Florida.
