The Dillon Lady Wildcats basketball team defeated Ridgeland-Hardeeville in Ridgeland on Friday, Feb. 19, 48 to 42.
Khamele Manning scored 13 points in the victory for the ‘Cats to advance in Class 2A lower state semifinal.
The Dillon girls led 12 to 7 after the first quarter and had a 26 to 14 lead at halftime.
However, the Ridgeland-Hardeeville girls outscored Dillon 16 to 5 in the third quarter. Dillon fought back in the fourth to score 17 points to 11 for Ridgeland-Hardeeville to claim a 6-point victory.
Kya Bell scored 9 points in the win with A’Doshia Graves and Da’Kerhia Samuel each garnering 6 points. Kendra McLeod and Ja’Neequa McCrimmon each got 3 points. Ja’Ronda McCrimmon and Dria Campbell each scored 2 points.
Jayme Chisholm scored 17 points for the Ridgeland-Hardeeville team while Brayton and Mack each scored 6 points. Tisdale and Casey each got 4 points while S. Brown picked up 2.
The Dillon Lady Wildcats will travel to Bishop England tonight (Tuesday) to continue the playoffs.
