Here is a quick update on potential winter weather beginning Friday morning and cold temperatures this weekend.
Friday:
A quick moving area of low pressure may result in a light wintry mix generally north of a Florence to Myrtle Beach line. Any precipitation is expected to remain light, thus any wintry accumulation would be little if any. However, a few pockets of light freezing rain Friday morning could cause some travel issues on bridges/overpasses.
Saturday-Sunday:
Colder temperatures are expected as an arctic air-mass spreads across the Carolinas. Lows in the lower 20s Saturday night into Sunday morning will be accompanied by some wind resulting in single digit wind chill values.
