Coroner Donnie Grimsley has released the identity of a 21-year-old who was shot and killed on Wolf Branch Circle last week.
The man has been identified by Grimsley as De’Quan Jamar Robinson, age 21, of Lumberton, North Carolina.
According to Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, “On January 20, 2016, the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Wolf Branch Circle in Dillon in reference to a shooting. According to an incident report by Deputy Andrew Miller, when officers arrived at the scene there was a male victim unresponsive inside the residence. Dillon County EMS responded and determined that the victim had no signs of life. The coroner was notified, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. During the initial investigation, it was determined that the person had been shot.”
Arnette said that “the incident is under investigation by the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, Coroner’s Office with assistance from SLED Crime Scene.”
