During May of 2010, renovations began on the fellowship building of Oakland Full Gospel Holiness Church. There was so much to do, but it did not stop the dedication of the people who took part in this project.
I watched almost daily of the changes that occurred in this amazing renovation. It took patience, sweat, and determination for this to be finalized, from a small group of people. Sometimes, there were people helping out that were not even members. We know that God had his hands on this project.
Some days, the ladies of the church would take meals and tea. When it came painting and cleaning up time, that’s when we were called on again.
As of July 9th, 2010, the building was finally complete. It seemed that when we started one project, another was being planned at the same time. But it all came together in the end as one of the most beautiful buildings I have ever seen.
Mr. Nelson Duke did not hold back when it came to the interior decorating. As you can see by the pictures, it is amazing!
On July 11th, 2010, we dedicated the building to God who deserved the credit! A meal was prepared by the church members and visitors.
Everyone was in awe of the changes made. We are very proud of our new fellowship building.
