Recently several members of the United Christian Sisterhood, a Christian-oriented organization of Lake View, visited the Lake View High School grades 6th through 12th to present supplies to the students. We look forward to giving “Book Bag” Items to contribute to the learning environment of our children. This is an annual Service Project to show support for our schools.
Mr. Edison Arnette, Principal welcomed the Ladies and received the array of items. Teachers often use their personal money to buy necessities for their students. Mr. Arnette expressed appreciation to the Sisterhood and stated on behalf of his staff and students that these supplies are welcomed and needed. The United Christian Sisterhood applauds the dedicated staff and the well behaved students who were actively engaged in learning.
Ms. Janie Lyles, a retired educator is the Leader of the Sisterhood. Ms. Wilhelmena Ford is the Vice-Leader. The organization has a membership of more than thirty Members. “It takes a Village to Raise a Child” (African Proverb).
