The Latta Rotary Club recently purchased and installed a monument to honor the Latta High School Interact Club. Latta Rotary is a proud sponsor of the club that brings students into a consciousness of service. The goal of the Interact Club is to develop leadership skills, promote a life of service and make international connections. The granite monument is located on the Latta High School Campus between the entrance to the high school and the entrance to the Ellis Performing Arts Center. Rotary International’s iconic emblem adorns the top of the monument with the Four Way Test prominently stated as a reminder of the organization’s moral code for personal and business relationships.
The Four
Way Test
Of the things we think, say, or do…
1. Is it the truth?
2. Is it fair to all concerned?
3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
The Latta Rotary Club and LHS Interact Club have partnered together for several years and raised thousands of dollars to provide shoes and clothes to the youth of our community with the Happy Feet program. Latta Rotary wanted to provide a daily reminder to the students of the Interact Club and everyone in the community that a mission of service and giving makes this world a better place for us all. Latta Rotary proudly sponsors these students as our future community and world leaders.
