A 59-year-old Latta man was killed in a wreck in Laurinburg, NC on Friday, according to reports. 
Services for the man, Billy Ray Barfield, will be held on Monday conducted by Cooper Funeral Home. He worked at Scotland Container.
Barfield was traveling east on U.S. 74 near exit 185 about 3:23 a.m. on Friday when his 2000 GEO Tracker was hit from behind by a Ford Box truck, according to reports.  Both the Tracker and the Ford truck ran off the highway. The Tracker flipped after it struck a NCDOT sign. Barfield was pronounced dead at the scene.
