June J. Cabaniss, 81, passed away, Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Reflections Assisted Living.
She was born May 22, 1934 in Dillon, SC a daughter of the late Marvin F. and Alice Pearl Moulds Moody. She was predeceased by her husbands, Robert A. Jernigan and William Cabaniss; her son, George “Tiggy” Jernigan.
June’s main focus in life was her children, grandchildren and her strong Christian faith. She was a member of Ocean View Baptist Church and the Love Sunday School class. She loved reading, music, playing the piano, traveling and was a huge Atlanta Braves Fan.
Survivors include her children, Betsy Cartwright and her husband Tom of Myrtle Beach and Bob Jernigan his wife Pam of Georgetown, sister, Connie Murrell of Myrtle Beach; four grandchildren, Adam Cartwright, Matt Cartwright, Julia Hendrick and Andrew Jernigan and five great-grandchildren, Caitline, Michael, Kaydence, Sophia and Fletcher.
The family greeted friends at McMillan-Small Funeral Home Monday August 17, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
The funeral will be 3:00 p.m, Tuesday August 18, 2015 at Ocean View Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach with burial following at Southern Palms Memorial Gardens.
