Melissa Moody, member of the Yellow Jessamine Garden Club, visited The South Carolina Botanical Gardens in Clemson, S.C. on July 17, 2015. It was a beautiful array of landscapes, gardens, ponds, and nature trails that were simply breath taking! The trails showcased a vast array of colorful flowers and plants such as camellias and hosta. The picturesque butterfly garden was in full bloom as the birds and butterflies gracefully flew around. The tranquil streams and waterfalls were an absolute splendor. Not only are the gardens exquisite to tour, but they are also very educational. On the grounds, there is an arboretum, the Fran Hanson Discovery Center, the Nature Learning Center and the Bob Campbell Geology Museum. There are many other educational programs available at the gardens. The SCBG are a must see, and I encourage everyone to take a day trip and visit!!
