PUBLIC NOTICE

Duke Energy Progress, LLC (“DEP”) will make an application to the Public Service Commission of South Carolina (“Commission”) on or about March 18, 2024, for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Convenience and Necessity for the construction and operation of the Robinson Solar Center, a 76 MW solar photovoltaic generating facility, and associated facilities, to include a 230 kV substation and short span of a 230 kV line. The facilities are to be sited on property owned by DEP in Chesterfield and Darlington Counties, South Carolina. The Robinson Solar Center will help DEP meet a specific need for renewable resources identified in DEP’s Commission-approved integrated resource plan by contributing fuel-free energy and capacity to serve DEP’s existing and future customers in South Carolina. This application is being made in accordance with the Code of Laws of South Carolina 1976, Chapter 33, Title 58, as amended, entitled the “Utility Facility Siting and Environmental Protection Act.”
