Dillon District Four Trustees held their regularly scheduled board meeting on Monday, October 16, 2023.
At the meeting, four students were recognized for making a perfect score on their 2023 spring state assessment. Family members joined district staff and board members at 6:30 p.m. for a recognition ceremony.
Jo’Niilah Alford, Lyric Carrington, Colten Moody, and Zy’Kiera Aaron were recognized for having a perfect score on their SC READY math test.

Superintendent, Ray Rogers, congratulated each student for a job well-done. He presented students with a personalized certificate and encouraged the students to continue their academic excellence.
He also recognized the parents, administrators, and teachers present for the ceremony.
Jo’Niilah Alford was a 3rd grade student at Stewart Heights last year. Her teacher was Cody Manning. Jo’Niilah is the granddaughter of Belinda Campbell.
Lyric Carrington was also a 3rd grade student last year. He attended Lake View Elementary School. His teacher was Leanna Cooke. Lyric is the son of David and Lisa Carrington.
Colten Moody was a 5th grade student last year at Lake View Elementary School. His teacher was Crystal Ramey. Colten is the son of Ashley and Danielle Moody. Zy’Kiera Aaron was in the 6th grade at Dillon Middle School last year. Her teacher was Anne Johnson. Zy’Kiera is the daughter of Rashawn and Kimberly Aaron.
As a special accolade, Jayne Lee, Director of Assessment, announced to those in attendance, that Zy’Kiera had also had a perfect score on her SC READY math test during the 2022 administration. In closing, Ray Rogers told the students to keep up the good work and that he would look forward to seeing them again next year.
As the students departed, they also received Hallowe’en buckets filled with treats, as an extra surprise.
