Carl H. Faulk, Jr., 93, passed away Monday, August 21, 2023 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon surrounded by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 24, 2023 at First Baptist Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church, and also Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home.
Born in Fairmont, NC, June 23, 1930, he was the son of the late Carl H. Faulk, Sr. and Beulah Mae Hamilton Faulk. Carl was married to Ethel Lee Faulk for 70 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Dillon, and he worked for Dixiana Mills, and was the owner and operator of Faulk’s Grocery. He loved helping Neighbors Helping Neighbors, and attending football games.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Lee Faulk of Dillon; children, Carl (Cheryl) Faulk, III, Cynthia (Cary) McKenzie, Denise (Marion) Watts, and Danielle (Michael) Campbell; grandchildren, Carl H. Faulk, IV (Nadia), Dillon Xander Faulk (Nia), Chris Freeman, Ricky (Stacee) Bourgoin, Crystal (Josh) Skipper, Jennifer (Joey) Bass, Stephanie (Michael) Burney, Destini Campbell, Michaela Campbell, Shayla Campbell, Katie Mishue, Ethan Bakazan, Noa Campbell, Jay (Emily) McKenzie, Ashley (Darleen) McKenzie, Casey (Joni) Deyton, Ashley (Bryan) Watts, Katelyn (Daniel) Campbell; 26 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Faulk was preceded in death by his parents, Carl H. Sr. & Beulah Faulk; daughter, Jennifer Louise Faulk; great-granddaughter, Madison LeAnne Bourgoin; brothers and sisters, W.R. Faulk (Barbara), Sam Faulk, Carolyn Odom, and Ertle Faulk (Barbara); and special friend, Howard Edwards.
