Carol Edwards, local missionary for Dillon County Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Pastor Tommy Lee Pittman, President of Empowerment in Action directed a service for Back to School in the July heat on the 27th at the Dillon County Courthouse. Many local residents attended, as well as local pastors. Highlights included the participaction by each mayor from Dillon, Lake View, and Latta; as well as local area students leading different aspects of the prayer. The local students were RonBracey, Dillon Christian School; Brooke Gasque, Latta High; Anna Camp, Lake View High; Key’monty Hamer, Latta Middle; Nicholas Berry, Dillon Middle; and Jackson Pittman, Lake View Elementary. The program was well received with all glory to God and the expectation of a prosperous school year for students, teachers, administrators, and all auxiliary staff. (Contributed Photos)
