Due to the content presented in recent social media posts and at community events involving the family and friends of Jeremiah Thompson and others, the Fourth Circuit Solicitor’s Office has elected to send the pending case against Judy Cox to the South Carolina Attorney General’s office to make all decisions moving forward.
The prosecution team fully and unequivocally stands by its prosecutorial decisions in the case and its efforts to get justice for Jeremiah Thompson.
The Solicitor’s Office continues to have the utmost respect for the Thompson family and will support the Attorney General’s office in the transition.
