The faculty and staff at Dillon Middle School are delighted to announce that Mrs. Krista Driggers has been named this year’s Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Driggers has been the art teacher at DMS for the past 6 years. She is a native of Dillon, South Carolina and graduated from Dillon High School in 2005. Mrs. Driggers studied Visual Arts at Francis Marion University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts with a specialty in Photography. Mrs. Driggers worked as a professional photographer for 8 years before entering the PACE program and completing her course work to earn her teaching certificate in Art Education.

Mrs. Driggers enjoys helping her students cultivate an appreciation for the history of art and loves watching them develop their own artistic abilities in the various forms and mediums of art. Mrs. Driggers encourages her students to always work to their greatest potential, whether they are working on art projects, or improving their reading and math skills.
Mrs. Driggers is a caring and competent teacher, and we are proud to have her represent Dillon Middle School as Teacher of the Year for the 2023-2024 school year.
