Seba Walton Stoudenmire, 95, passed away at McLeod Heath in Dillon on November 19, 2022. Visitation was from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta, SC. Memorial service was 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 21, 2022, at the Latta Presbyterian Church. Committal services were at 4:00 p.m. in Pine Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery in Lone Star, SC.
Seba was born September 17, 1927, in Lone Star, SC the son of the late Lester Carroll Stoudenmire and Eunice Keller Stoudenmire.
He earned a Masters degree in Education and was an agricultural teacher with the Latta School District until his retirement.
He was a devoted member of Latta Presbyterian Church and had earned the position of Elder Emeritus. He enjoyed woodworking and attended several shows selling his crafts.
He was a charter member of the Dillon County Rifle and Gun Club, charter member of Latta Lions Club, and charter member of the Latta Scotch Club.
He was also a member of the Minturn Cultural Society. Seba loved to hunt and fish since he was a child.
Mr. Stoudenmire is survived by his sons, S. Walton Stoudenmire, Jr. (Debbie) of Lone Star, SC, and Paul Buckner Stoudenmire of Abbeville, SC; daughter, Gail S. Carter (Greg) of Sellers, SC; brother, Carroll Stoudenmire (Donna) of Lone Star, SC; sister Nell S. Felkel of Cameron, SC; grandchildren, Meredith Carter Coleman, and Gregory Chase Carter; three great grandchildren; and special friend, Lilea Smith.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lou Buckner Stoudenmire, sons, David Keller Stoudenmire and James Morrison Stoudenmire, and sister, Elizabeth Ann Stoudenmire.
