On the afternoon of July 8th, The Yellow Jessamine Garden Club members gathered at the home of Ms. Mildred Mishue for a fun clay pot project. Members assembled small, medium, and large clay flowerpots to represent a body, head, arms, and legs of the “clay” person. Holes were drilled in several of the flowerpots to run wire through to connect various parts of the body and limbs. Next, a small denim apron was attached to the body, jewelry placed around the neck, and a hint of moss was glued around the base of the body and arms. Finally, a small flower arrangement was made for the hair according to taste and color scheme. Some chose greenery, while others used colorful flowers. The project was enjoyed by all, as well as the fun and fellowship.
