April was School Library Month and Dillon School District Four presented our school librarians with a gift to celebrate and to acknowledge all the hard work they do for our students and staff.
School libraries are essential for our schools. School librarians connect students with a variety of resources to support learning, literature, technology and digital resources. Our school libraries provide a space where students can study, relax, and learn. They help to inspire a love of reading and help to ensure students become life-long learners, who can find and use resources and information.
Our school libraries don’t just support student populations. They work with all staff members at their school. They provide information on new resources to faculty and staff and collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate literature and information literacy into the curriculum. Dillon School District Four thanks all of our school librarians for a job well done!
