Margaret Mary Allen Schmidt, 75, passed away at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, Thursday, December 2, 2021. Visitation will be at Kannaday Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 7, 2021. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at St. Louis Catholic Church with internment in Greenlawn Cemetery. Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon is assisting the family.
Margaret was born April 10, 1946 in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of the late LaVerne and Jeanette Williamson Allen. She served as Secretary of St. Louis Catholic Church in Dillon for over twenty eight years. She was a devoted member of St. Louis and was a member of the St. Louis Women’s Club for many years. She enjoyed making Macrame and in recent years became an avid reader.
Mrs. Schmidt is survived by her husband of fifty two years, William “Bill” C. Schmidt of the home; a daughter, Michelle Schmidt of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, David Allen (Rose Mary), Richard Allen (Cindi) both of Jamestown, NY and James Allen (Patricia) of Clemmons, NC; and many nieces and nephews.
