Services for James “Jim” Martin Booth were held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation was held 6:00-9:00 p.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Jim, 63, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Born in Lewes, Delaware, November 27, 1957, he was the son of the late Fritz Booth and Iva Short Booth. He graduated from Sussex High School in Georgetown, Delaware, and attended the University of Delaware. He started his career with Perdue and worked for 29 years before retiring. Jim loved his family and friends, golfing, fishing, and working in his yard.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Jean Y. Booth of Florence; sister, Connie Parker (Cliff) of Delaware, twin brother, Joe Booth (Marge) of Delaware; brothers, George Booth (Linda) of Florida, and Spencer Booth (Lynn) of Maine; special niece, Danielle Burnette; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Benny & Emma Cooper and their family.
Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Al Booth.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
