Sarah Elizabeth (Bessie) Ivey Sellers, 95, of Cary, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021.
She was born on August 18, 1926, in Dillon County, SC, to the late Webb and Liza Jackson Ivey. She was a resident of the Massey Hill community for 74 years. She was a retired textile worker who loved her church and gardening. She was a founding member of Lakedale Church of God.
Bessie Was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Hazel Turbeville; brothers, NB, Jr., Charlie, Branford, James, and Wally; and son-in-law, Lloyd Harvey.
Left to cherish Bessie’s memory are her daughter, Elizabeth Harvey of Cary; grandsons, Donny Harvey and wife, Amy of Taylors, SC, and Daniel Harvey, and wife, Kristie of Raleigh; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Liz Berry, and husband, Bogen, of Bennetsville, SC, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Pastor Elton Bryan and wife Frances, along with her church family for their prayerful support.
A funeral service was held at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service on Saturday, September 4, 2021.
